About
A room with a lineage. A team with a standard. Aranha Turkey carries the Aranha Association name from Rio de Janeiro, through Toulouse, to Istanbul.
01 — Who We Are
Aranha Turkey was founded by lifelong friends Uraz İnce and Dinç Erdoğan. Our mission is simple — to share our passion for jiu jitsu and the modern warrior lifestyle with a unified team.
The primary focus is to deliver traditional jiu jitsu education within a grappling-first format, with a complementary Gi / NoGi training program specialized in leg locks. Aranha Turkey athletes are built to be well-rounded, technical, and powerful grapplers.
02 — Aranha Association
The Aranha Association is a global Brazilian Jiu Jitsu organization founded by Yan Cabral. What began in Rio de Janeiro expanded to Toulouse, France, where Cabral partnered with judo professors and experts to create a unique, diverse martial arts center.
Today the Aranha Association is a major hub of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Europe — running competitions, technical courses, referee and instructor certification programs, and training executives within the discipline. The association is proudly partnered with the French Confederation.
Aranha Turkey is the Istanbul representative of this lineage, teaching under the same philosophy, curriculum, and standard.
03 — Founder
Yan Cabral earned his black belt in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2008. Since then he has dedicated himself to training future generations of jiu jitsu champions — a teacher, competitor, and organizer who has built rooms across three continents.
Cabral holds two European championship titles, from 2007 and 2014, and founded the Aranha Team in Toulouse alongside a circle of judo professionals. Today he is based in Barcelona, Spain, focused on training mixed martial arts.
